Fresh pink roses cover the five-tier cake by Panini Bakery; lush florals ran down the center of the tables.

When it came to flowers and event planning, the decision was easy. Annalee went with Bella Flora of Dallas, the company she works for. With her guidance, Bella Flora created lush centerpieces and accents using pink, orange and blush roses.

Annalee surrounded herself with her true-blue friends and family for her bridal party.

Shimmering gold Jimmy Choos added an unexpected kick to her custom Michael Faircloth gown.

Annalee Aston and Nick Wofford crossed paths every school day during their time together at Highland Park High School. But it wasn’t until a mutual friend invited them both to her lake house for Memorial Day weekend that they met. Three years after their first date at Mi Cocina, Nick was ready to take the next step and proposed to Annalee on bended knee in their favorite mineral gallery.

To complement her custom Michael Faircloth dress and for a sentimental touch, Annalee wore her late paternal grandmother’s diamond bracelet. Before the walk down the aisle, the couple exchanged thoughtful gifts to one another; Annalee gifted Nick cuff links from Neiman Marcus, while Nick gave Annalee a diamond Roberto Coin necklace accompanied by a four-page handwritten note. At the ceremony, three of Annalee’s cousins sang to the guests, which was followed by a reading by Sally Smith, a former tutoring student of Annalee’s while she was in the student-teaching program at Southern Methodist University.

“The planning process is more stressful than you can imagine. With two families coming together with their own opinions, you need to remember that at the end of the day it’s about your marriage and the two of you coming together.”

“We went to Virgin Gorda Little Dix Bay for a week. It was the first time either of us had been, but so many of our friends and friends of our parents had been there and loved it,” says Annalee. Their favorite memory was the “beach drop,” when the resort packed a picnic basket and wine, and took the couple to a private island for a seaside lunch and snorkeling.
